The difference between boys and girls!

February 28th, 2008

So today I was driving a little preschool boy that is in my daughter’s class after school.  I was listening in on their conversation.  This little boy who we’ll call “T” starts talking about transformers, he is telling my daughter all about them (and she is clueless to what they are) and says the decipticon’s are the bad guys, they are BAD BAD BAD.

My daughter does a nice long effective pause and says  “uh, Princesses Sing”   I about lost it with a fit of giggles.  The things kids do and say, gotta love ‘em.

The groom was very reluctant at first to give up his ring.  I had to promise him that he’d see them again in just a few minutes.

There were sooooo many toasts at this wedding, people just started laughing but so many had to say something to the bride and groom.  They got married and just a couple weeks later the groom was off to war.  He is a surgeon for the military.  There were some very touching moments at this wedding!

Have you ever smelled springtime in the winter
Have you ever walked so freely you lost your way
Have you ever loved the moment so completely
Or smiled so full you swore you’d simply burst with joy
Have you ever lost time into eternity
While living so hard it felt okay to die
Have you ever had a friend so completely
That it made you simply cry
Have you ever hurt so deeply
That you swore your heart would never mend
Have you ever loved so deeply
Ever loved so deeply
It seems this is the lot we share
As we hope for summer’s soft, warm light
Amidst our struggles raising valleys into hills
Raising valleys into hills
Have you ever smelled springtime in the winter
