Thanks to my fabulous sister in law I have a great pile of books to drool over this summer. Hopefully the sunshine will come out and act like summer so I can kick back in the lawn chair and read!

The world lost a kind and gentle man today. I was lucky enough to marry into his family. He lived so far away that I didn’t get the chance to hang out with him a lot, but the times I did get too were wonderful. Great-Grandad you are so loved and will be missed!

It’s that time of year again and we are in full-swing soccer season with both girls. Lakes is rocking the house this year. She’s the most aggressive that she’s ever been & she is finally learning how to juggle the ball, which is cool to watch.
We’re sure proud of our girl!!!

A couple weeks ago we decided to go launch some model rockets. I only attempted a handful of pictures….and only got ONE with the rocket actually in the frame. They take off soooo quick.
I was mostly snapping pictures of these two cute babies…
Isn’t she sweet? She reminds me of my Pepper dog who was also an alaskan malamute. This is Kita our new cousin, haha. My brother in laws family just got her. I imagine this is what it is like to have grandchildren…..I can play with her and gush her but I get to leave her there when I’m done. HAHA!
These two adore each other!

Okay so this will be a big picture post because I’ve pretty much let this blog go and I feel bad about that! So here’s a lot of what we’ve been up to this summer….
Back in June my sister in law brought her family from Ohio to visit. We stayed at my other sister in law’s house and had lots of fun…..hot tubbing, slip n slide, playing with cousins, bowling, etc, etc, etc.

Then of course we had a birthday (which I did post about already) and then it was the 4th of July so we went over to the cousins new house in town lit some fireworks!
Tried a little video lighting here…
Then my brother came into town with his kids for 2 weeks and we played some more.
Camping…
We went to Bear Lake
My younger brother was in a 4-wheeler accident the end of June and he broke his femur. He still can’t walk but he did make it to the beach with us.
This is my skinny little Grandma who has no meat on her bones, freezing at the beach. It was actually a really chilly beach day though, in the 70’s and a strong breeze.

In the middle of having family here my oldest had a 4 day soccer tourney. Her team had to play girls a year older because not enough teams their age signed up and they ended up taking 2nd place, it was pretty sweet and we are very proud of them!
We headed to a wheat field to attempt family pics!

Oh and I can’t leave out the red neck waterslide! We got to go to this for a soccer party and it was pretty sweet. Some farmer made this HUGE slide in his field, it was a total blast and pretty intense!
