The 2nd charity that I am involved with is called The American Child Photographers Charity Guild.

A non-profit, volunteer based organization of child photographers from all over the country who have come together to form a guild dedicated to children in need and their families.

Child Photographers across the nation have networked together to provide families of desperately ill children complimentary portrait sessions.

Giving Back

February 10th, 2008

While I am in the midst of my slower season I thought I would write about a couple of organizations that I am a part of.

The first one is the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation.

NILMDTS is  a non-profit organization that exists to assist families suffering an early infant loss.  These services are available for infant loss as early as 25 weeks gestation or at the discretion of medical personnel.  Parents of critically ill or stillborn babies contact NILMDTS, who then provide them with beautiful, heirloom portraits of their children.

You can click on the banner to visit their website and find out more information.  If you know of anybody in this situation please feel free to give them my contact information.  This service is at no cost to the families involved.

A recent article was published in the Salt Lake Tribune, sadly it is no longer available online for free but it was a very touching article.

To visit the Utah Chapter of NILMDTS please go to the following website

http://www.impressionsoftheheart.org/

*Warning,  sensitive photographs on both websites listed, please view at your own discretion.
